US-based EIP hires former Carlyle exec for push into Europe

New York-based EIP has argued that Europe is lacking sufficient sector-specific capital and choices for entrepreneurs

US-based Energy Impact Partners has hired Nazo Moosa to help lead its expansion into Europe, as the technology-focused investment firm sets up new offices in the UK and Germany.

Moosa, who was part of the founding team of Carlyle’s European Technology Partners business, will be managing partner for EIP in London. She will work closely with Matthias Dill, who joined EIP’s Cologne office in September as managing partner and chief executive of its European operations.
