The US hedge fund founded by billionaire investor Steven Cohen has recruited a director from one of its rivals, as American managers increasingly seek to grow their London operations.

Muhammed Yesilhark is to move from the Mayfair office of York Capital, to SAC Capital, according to three industry sources. York is a manager which ran $7.8bn (€5.5bn) at the start of this year, according to Institutional Investor.
