US issuers continue assault of Europe's ETF market

Vanguard's four new ETFs, listed on the LSE this week, are the latest indication that US providers are looking to take more market share in Europe

Vanguard Asset Management has almost doubled its exchange-traded fund listings on the London Stock Exchange, in the latest move from a US provider to take more market share in Europe in recent weeks.

The firm listed four new ETFs this week, taking its total number of LSE listings to nine - and total listings in Europe to 12 - since launching in the region last May. Vanguard also has listings on the Six Swiss Exchange.
