US pension funds forge ahead on SRI

The New York City pension funds are set to support two climate change resolutions put forward by shareholders of the oil giant ExxonMobil, in an indication that US fund managers are more willing to push the SRI agenda than their UK counterparts.

The pension funds, with $80bn (€93.2bn) under management, include the New York City Employee Retirement System, the New York City Teachers Retirement System, the New York City Police Pension Fund and the New York City Fire Department Pension Fund.
