US stock fund investors hit pause

Last week had the smallest change in US stock fund assets since late May

Investors in US stock funds held off from moving much of their cash in the latest week, amid growing tensions in Washington and after a Federal Reserve-driven rally.

Last week had the smallest change in US stock fund assets since the week ended May 29, the week after the Fed threw markets for a loop with discussions of pulling back on stimulus, according to Lipper. Overall, investors withdrew $492 million from US equity mutual funds and ETFs in the week ended September 25.
