US stocks pare gains after Trump inaugural speech

US stocks on Friday came off their best levels of the session but held on to modest gains as Donald Trump took the oath of office to become the nation's 45th president.

Trump delivered an inaugural address that echoed protectionist comment and calls for measures to support American workers that he has made in the past, but offered few additional details for investors.
