US tax shelter probe hits Deutsche profits

Deutsche Bank has been forced to revise last year's profits after increasing legal provisions relating to a US investigation into illegal tax shelters. The revision cut its return on equity by 1% to 25%.

The bank said today that the higher provisions cut full-year net profits by €250m ($298m) to €3.5bn.
