US venture capital falls to 'more normal' level

Investment in US early stage and development opportunities during the second quarter of this year was the smallest since 1998, having fallen 11% from the first quarter's total to $6bn (€6bn), according to a survey of US venture capitalists.

The survey was prepared by the National Venture Capital Association, the US private equity trade body, PricewaterhouseCoopers, the accountancy firm, and Venture Economics, an information provider.
