USS to invest £100m in flats for the disabled

The Universities Superannuation Scheme, the UK's biggest pension fund, has formed a new joint-venture to invest in specialist accommodation for people with disabilities; its second partnership deal in a week.

USS will put £100 million into the venture initially, with the intent of increasing it to £200 million. Its partner is Morgan Sindall Investments, a specialist fund manager that runs healthcare, residential developments and student accommodation.
