Van Hedge hires former NatWest chief

Van Hedge Fund Advisors, the hedge fund consultancy and index provider, has appointed a former NatWest chief executive as its new chief executive, a role that has been vacant for over a year.

Van Hedge has hired Thomas Whelan, a financial industry veteran, who will take on the role as chief executive and president. George Van, founder, will continue his role as chairman of the company.
