Anton van Nunen, a Dutch consultant credited with developing the idea behind the way about half the country's €650bn of pensions assets are run, is leaving private consultancy to take over the efforts of a domestic insurer that is expanding in the field.
Van Nunen is to become director of strategic pension-fund management at the insurance group Syntrus Achmea. The division "provides fiduciary management for pension funds, including the design of investment portfolios", the insurer said in a statement this morning.
