Five low-cost exchange-traded funds sponsored by Vanguard Asset Management were listed on the London Stock Exchange today, amid forecasts they will trigger a price war across Europe.

The ETFs, the first Vanguard has launched in Europe, have expense ratios of between nine basis points and 45bps, compared to an industry average of 53bps.
