One of the key hires for fund giant Vanguard’s assault on the UK defined contribution pensions market, has joined relative minnow SEI to lead its salesforce in the region.

Steve Charlton, who joined $4.4tn Vanguard as DC proposition manager for Europe in 2013 from investment consultant Mercer, has jumped to SEI to become managing director of DC for UK and Asia.
