Vanguard slashes fees on passive products

The firm has cut fees on a range of index funds and one of its most popular ETFs

Vanguard has thrown down the gauntlet to rival providers by slashing the fees on 23 of its passive products in Europe, including those charged by its popular emerging markets exchange-traded fund.

The US-based firm manages a total of $67.7 billion in assets in Europe, with ETFs looking after $3 billion.
