Vanguard’s UK platform assets jump 50% on boost from young investors

More than 61,000 new customers have joined Vanguard’s personal investment platform so far this year, with 40% aged 30 or under

Assets on Vanguard’s UK investment platform have swelled to £24bn as a growing number of young clients flock to the low-cost US giant.

Data provided to Financial News by the Pennsylvania-headquartered firm show its UK platform assets have risen by around 53% over the past year, up from £15.7bn.
