The chief executive of AP6, a Swedish state fund that invests in venture capital and private equity, has said he will stand down after more than 10 years at the helm, as debate continues in the country over the €1.9bn ($2.4bn) fund's future.
Erling Gustafsson, president of the sixth national pension fund since 2000, has decided "now is the time to move on," according to a spokesman for the fund. He added that Gustafsson leaves with the support and agreement of the fund's governing board, chaired by Lennart Jeansson.
