VCM Venture Capital Management, Germany's oldest private equity fund of funds manager, has bucked the gloomy trend in that sector with four senior appointments.

Andreas Wilde, VCM's new head of private equity, was an investment manager at Allianz Private Equity. Marco Naumann, senior manager of business development, was executive director of Goldman Sachs' investment management division in Germany.
