Sir Michael Moritz, the US-based venture capitalist who has backed many of the biggest names in tech over the past 30 years, has been picked as the next sponsor of the Booker Prize, the famed literary award.

The news comes a month after it emerged that hedge fund Man Group was ending its association with the award after almost two decades of sponsorship.
