An online auction for lunch in a Dallas steakhouse with renowned oil trader T. Boone Pickens has attracted one bid so far since it opened on Monday, raising questions over participants' appetite for an expensive power lunch in the middle of the credit crunch.

The auction, which will run to Thursday February 12, has a minimum bid of $100,000 (€76,853). One sole bidder, 9***a, has bid the minimum amount. All proceeds will go to Texas charity Big Brothers Big Sisters.
