Virgin Mobile chooses IPO advisers

JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley have started planning the initial public offering (IPO) of Virgin Mobile, the mobile telephony business owned by Sir Richard Branson.

Although a Virgin spokeswoman said the IPO was still being considered as one of several options for the company, Branson has hinted that it could go ahead as early as the first half of 2004.
