New EU rules that will change the way shares are bought and sold away from exchanges are just six months away

Virtu inks Mifid II trading pact with Nomura’s Instinet

The high-frequency trading firm Virtu Financial and Nomura's institutional broker Instinet have agreed a pact ahead of new rules that will change the way shares are bought and sold away from exchanges.

US-based Virtu, which makes markets in equities, currencies, bonds, and other assets, will stream prices to fund managers seeking buyers through Instinet, with the resulting trades to be executed off-exchange.
