Viventures, the venture capital arm of French media group Vivendi Universal, has hired Vivek Tandon to head up its new UK office, part of its European expansion as it gears up to invest its €630m ($562m) second fund.
Tandon was previously vice president of marketing and business development at Kymata, the optical electronics company which was recently bought by Alcatel Electronics. He is the first hire for Viventures' new UK office in Reading. Last month, the firm opened a new office in Sweden, and has plans to continue its European expansion.
