Carbon market quadruples as companies race to profit off net-zero goals

As more firms commit themselves to net zero, there is growing demand for carbon trading from businesses that want to offset their emissions.

The voluntary carbon market has seen explosive growth over the past year. According to non-profit Ecosystem Marketplace, the market quadrupled in value over the course of 2021 and transactions last year totalled nearly $2bn.
