Vontobel Asset Management, the fund management arm of the Swiss bank Vontobel, has appointed Thomas Buri as head of Swiss equities.

Buri will head a five-strong team and report to head of portfolio management Verner Dollier. He replaces Patrick Frei, who left in September, to join Mirabaud Investment Management, part of one of Switzerland's five oldest private banks, Mirabaud et Cie.
