Vontobel cuts private equity exposure to zero

Vontobel, the troubled Swiss bank and asset manager, has reduced its private banking clients' exposure to private equity from 3% to zero after experiencing significant losses.

A spokeswoman for the company said: "We are not bullish at all about private equity as an asset class. It is volatile."
