Evergreen Investments, the asset management arm of financial services group Wachovia, has stepped up its efforts to expand outside the US with the launch of an institutional fund management arm specifically for overseas markets.

Wachovia Global Asset Management, the brand name under which Evergreen will conduct business development, sales and distribution efforts in non-US markets, has appointed Mark Archer as managing director of European distribution for the newly created firm.
