Waddell & Reed Financial has hired the former chief investment officer of the Denver-based Invesco Funds Group to take over two of its small cap funds that were being managed by asset manager BlackRock.

Timothy Miller will be the new manager of the W&R target small cap value portfolio and the Ivy small cap value fund, which as of the end of last year, had a combined value of $345m.
