Watson Wyatt ends actuarial services to local authority funds

Watson Wyatt, the global consultancy firm, is to stop providing actuarial services to UK local authority pension fund clients, because they represent too small a part of the business.

The decision affects 21 clients, who are being informed this week. Watson Wyatt said actuarial engagements with these funds will end by the end of October 2003.
