Weinberg steps down from St James's Place

Mike Wilson has moved up to become chairman of St James's Place Capital, after Sir Mark Weinberg stepped down from the wealth management group on Wednesday.

Wilson, 60, formerly chief executive, and Weinberg, 73, founded St James's Place, previously called J Rothschild Assurance Group, in 1991. It is currently 60% owned by HBOS, the UK investment group.
