Wells Fargo Securities has installed a new senior dealmaker in London, as the traditionally consumer-focused US bank aims to become a bigger investment banking player.

In a further sign of London's growing importance to the US-focused bank, Wells Fargo has hired Julien Pajot as a managing director and head of technology, media and telecommunications for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He joined earlier this week, a Wells Fargo spokeswoman confirmed.
