Westdeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale (WestLB) has subscribed to Citibank Continuous Linked Settlement (CLS) Services for foreign exchange settlement.

CLS aims to reduce foreign exchange settlement risk by simultaneously settling both sides to a foreign exchange transaction. Despite a number of delays, CLS is expected to go live with third party users around October.
