Deloitte’s bid to simplify its structure could lead to more job losses and spur internal disquiet within the Big Four firm, industry experts have warned.

“It would have been nice to learn about it directly rather than reading about it in the press,” said one current Deloitte employee of the beancounter’s planned overhaul, which includes shrinking its main business lines from five to four: audit and assurance; strategy, risk and transactions; technology and transformation; and tax and legal.
