The UK's most senior politicians have approved the terms of a provisional Brexit deal with the European Union, Prime Minister Theresa May said on Wednesday evening.

May, who was speaking after a five-hour “impassioned debate” with her government ministers about the implications of the draft agreement, said the collective decision was that members of the UK government should support the deal she agreed with her European counterparts on November 13.
