Baroness Sarah Hogg celebrated her 64th birthday in May, but the former 3i chairman shows few signs of slowing down. Since stepping down from the UK-listed buyout group in July, she has chaired the Financial Reporting Council, the quango that sets non-enforceable standards of corporate governance and financial reporting.
That role is the latest in a distinguished public sector career. Hogg previously ran John Major's policy unit when he was UK prime minister, served as a governor of the BBC, and has sat in the House of Lords since being granted a life peerage in 1995.
