White retires from Barclays Global Investors

Peter White, an equities trader well known in the City of London, is retiring from Barclays Global Investors (BGI), to be replaced by Simon Thompson.

After 21 years working as a dealer with Rowe & Pitman, the stockbroker, White has spent the last 15 years at BGI, where he was head of European equity trading.
