Today is International Women’s Day with this year’s theme "Be bold for change". Perhaps it's time asset management took a bold step towards transforming its own outlook.

In recent years, the financial services sector has dramatically shifted its approach to gender diversity, but fund management remains a stubborn outlier, with women comprising just 9% of investment managers in the UK, according to some reports. Worldwide, only 7% of funds are managed by women.
