Why Tucker is good news for HSBC – and its investment bank

Remember all that stuff about how difficult it is for banks to find anyone half decent to be chairmen these days? Well, HSBC seems to have managed.

Henri de Castries, the former boss of AXA who was initially lined up for the job, would have been an excellent candidate had he not decided to join his friend Francois Fillon’s campaign for the French presidency. If anything, Mark Tucker looks an even better choice.
