William Blair & Co, a US investment banking, asset management and brokerage firm, is planning to grow its London team and is "on the prowl" for new talent, according to its head of European banking.

Matthew Gooch, an almost-20 year veteran of William Blair who has been based in London since 2000, told Financial News that the firm has taken a second floor in its City of London headquarters, The Broadgate Tower.
