As careers go, Sir Winfried Bischoff, chairman of Citigroup Europe, has been particularly successful. In January alone, he became chairman of Citigroup Europe and was knighted by the Queen.

Born in Aachen, Germany, in 1941, Bischoff received a bachelor of commerce degree from the university of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg in 1961.
