Star UK fund manager Alexander Darwall has sold his stake in Wirecard, following a two-day share price crash at the German payments giant.

The share price of Darwall’s European Opportunities investment trust dropped by more than 10% on 18 June after Wirecard’s auditor said it could not account for almost €2bn in cash on its balance sheet.
