Lloyds Banking Group and Royal Bank of Scotland are among the leading companies in the City of London for female representation at board level, but the financial sector is still below the target set by Lord Davies.
According to figures published today by BoardWatch, which was set up in the wake of a 2011 report by former UK government minister Lord Davies to monitor the number of women on UK boards, women make up 6.1% of executive director roles at FTSE 100 companies, compared with 5.5% two years ago.
