Neil Woodford and his business partner Craig Newman received dividends worth £1.5m from their investment empire in the two months before the former star stock picker’s flagship fund was suspended, which left thousands of investors unable to access their savings.

The latest accounts for Woodford Investment Management, filed with Companies House, show the dividends covered the period between 1 April and 31 May 2019.
