Standard Life Aberdeen, the £545bn asset manager, has told its 4,900 UK workforce that the majority of them should continue to work from home for the rest of 2020.

Mike Tumilty, chief operating officer at SLA, informed employees in an email that while the asset manager is planning for a "small number" of staff to return to its offices over the coming months, the remainder should stay at home "until the end of the year".
