The great home-working experiment has convinced many financial services bosses that they don’t need everyone working in the office. Good news, you may think. Most employees say they prefer working from home and would like to continue to do so at least part of the time.
But for many, the great experiment may not prove to be good news at all. It is not just that bosses have learnt they can cope with a host of people working from home: it is that they have learnt they could cope with a host of people not working at all.
