World Bank warns hedge funds no performance panacea

The World Bank has warned pension schemes against expecting hedge funds to solve their investment shortfalls, while increasing its own allocation to the asset class.

Graeme Wheeler, vice president and treasurer at the World Bank, told a conference that pension schemes were in danger of deluding themselves.
