WorldCom's Ebbers gets 25 years

Bernard Ebbers, founder and chief executive of WorldCom, was yesterday sentenced to 25 years in jail for his role in the biggest corporate accounting fraud ever seen in the US.

He was sentenced in the US district court in Manhattan by Judge Barbara Jones for fraud, conspiracy and making false filings, reports The Wall Street Journal.
