Shareholders in WPP have called for the board of the embattled advertising agency to be overhauled for permitting Sir Martin Sorrell to sign a non-disclosure agreement that has prevented the founder from answering crucial questions about his departure.

Sorrell resigned from WPP, the world’s largest advertising group, in April ahead of the findings of an internal investigation into alleged personal misconduct.
