Xetra's US segment steals market share from exchanges

Xetra, the electronic trading system used and owned by the Deutsche Börse, has grabbed trading volumes in US equities from the floor of the Deutsche Börse since its US Stars segment was launched last month.

Turnover of US equities traded on Xetra last week increased by 47% on the previous week's trading volumes. A total of €389.4m ($177.5m) in 200 US equities has been traded during the first four weeks of operation.
