Xignite, the market data cloud provider, has appointed Hubert Holmes to its management team as chief business development officer to aid its expansion plans.

Hubert previously served as executive vice president at Chi-X Global Technologies, which he joined after the company's acquisition of Cicada. Hubert co-founded Cicada in 1998, where he led business development strategy, sales and marketing. Prior to Cicada he worked at Reuters.
