Zurich Financial Services, the Swiss financial services group, has agreed a $1.3bn (€1bn) outsourcing contract for its information systems development with Computer Sciences Corporation, the US technology firm.

Computer Sciences will assume all responsibility for development and support of Zurich's systems in the US, UK, Germany and Switzerland for the next seven years.
